TibetanCommunity.ca is a grassroots community initiative started by a small group of Tibetans in Canada who recognize the importance of staying connected, supporting one another, and building a stronger, more united community.
As our community grows and spreads across different cities and provinces, access to information, services, opportunities, and community networks becomes increasingly important. We believe that a shared online platform can help bridge these distances, bring people closer together, and make it easier for Tibetans to find the support and resources they need.
Our goal is to create a welcoming and accessible e-community where Tibetans can connect with one another, share useful information, discover community resources, seek assistance, offer help, and contribute to the collective well-being of our community.
What We Hope to Offer
TibetanCommunity.ca aims to become a practical, community-oriented platform that connects people with useful information, resources, and opportunities, including:
- Community Connections: Help Tibetans connect with individuals, families, community groups, and organizations across Toronto and other parts of Canada.
- Information and Resources: Share useful information about community services, settlement resources, education, employment, housing, and other everyday needs.
- Help and Mutual Support: Create opportunities for community members to ask for help, share their knowledge and experience, and support one another when needs arise.
- Jobs and Opportunities: Help circulate employment opportunities, volunteer positions, educational resources, and other opportunities that may benefit community members.
- Community News and Events: Share relevant announcements, cultural activities, community gatherings, and important updates to keep people informed and involved.
- Skills and Services Directory: Help community members discover and share professional skills, local businesses, services, and expertise within our community.
- Youth, Families and Seniors: Encourage connections across generations and help community members find relevant resources, information, and support.
These are the areas we hope to develop and strengthen over time, guided by the needs and contributions of the community.
